Whether its a one off day visit to your school or a 10 week programme, Janili Jo’s can cater for all your requirements.

We understand the difficulties that schools face when planning activities and learning plans with a ‘difference’ given the current economic climate and curriculum constraints. That is why we are committed to working with you to plan and execute a fun filled learning experience.

Day Visits

Clay and glaze work can both be used to stimulate the learning experience.  Whatever the subject, there are processes and techniques that tap into every part of the curriculum.

Programmes & Courses

At Janili Jo’s we are able to offer weekly programmes designed to fit with your curriculum needs.  Programmes are designed to allow you to choose the subject matter for the main project – for example a historical character, a particular artist, multicultural theme, school values or the Childrens choice.  The Children then get to plan how they are going to create the finished piece by dividing the project. This promotes team work and decision making a valuable skill needed at any age. The picture here shows one of the finished pieces created by St Hughes School, Woodhall Spa during their 8 week programme.

8 Week Programme

This programme gives the  Children the full experience of pottery painting techniques, clay work, prints, plus the planning and execution of the main project. With the added bonus of a couple of items that they have painted to take home.

6 Week Programme

This programme is as above without clay work.

4 Week Programme

This programme enables the children to spend wk 1 practicing the pottery painting techniques needed to complete their main project and the planning and execution of their project.

We will be on hand the whole time to offer advice and help.
